Other family planning alternatives

Family planning alternatives include a wide range of options, from highly effective long-term methods like IUDs and implants to short-acting pills, patches, and injections, as well as barrier methods like condoms and natural methods like fertility awareness-based methods. The best choice depends on an individual's health, preferences, and lifestyle, and our team or a healthcare provider can help determine the most suitable option.

Testimonies of people served.

Testimonies of healing after abortion often describe a journey from shame, regret, and isolation toward peace, hope, and forgiveness, frequently involving sharing their story in a supportive environment. Many stories highlight the importance of connecting with others who understand, finding spiritual or religious support, and eventually feeling able to move forward without the past pain controlling them.

Initial feelings: Many initially felt shame, loneliness, guilt, and regret, believing they had to keep the experience a secret. They may have felt unlovable or that they had failed themselves and others.

The turning point: A turning point often involves telling their story to someone they trust or in a safe group setting. This act of confession and vulnerability is frequently cited as the beginning of abortion healing.

Spiritual or religious healing: For many, healing involves a spiritual component, often through forgiveness and a relationship with God. Besides fear of abortion side effects, they find hope and peace through prayer, scripture, and a sense of being forgiven and cleansed.

Community and support: Finding support from others who have gone through similar experiences is crucial. This can be through groups, retreats, or with a trusted friend, counselor, or spiritual leader.

A new perspective: Healing is often described as not erasing the past, but as learning to live with it without it controlling one's life. Testimonies show a movement from feeling trapped to experiencing peace and rediscovering identity and strength.

It's a process: Healing is often described as a non-linear and challenging, but rewarding, process. It can involve years of feeling "stuck" and gradual steps toward hope and joy.

My name is Nanyanzi. I thank this organization for saving my marriage in 2021. When I was instructed to pay for my barrenness. I had lost hope and given up because I had no baby and wasn't pregnant for 6 years. I miss understood the process when I visited. But after he called me back over the phone and asked if I wished to just try the conception process that the doctor had instructed me to start, I hesitantly decided and started e herbal therapy which caused me a surprise of menstrual periods, I took it too hard on him and felt he made no sense causing me menstruations instead of conceiving. I missed my next periods still though he had just given me medicine. I doubted and went back to him furious and upset. The kind man reminded me of the old woman that I fought and sprinkled dirty water 6 years back while I was still in my youth menstrual cycles. As I was still wondering how he knew all that, my periods reduced. I was told the barrenness that had resulted into a shameful life full of separations and divorces was over. I was instructed to get intimate again and that's when I conceived and rescued my marriage. That was herbal medicine but I still wonder and happy to be a parent
